The answer is yes’! In this article, we have separated for you two excellent tips that nobody counts when it comes to paying cheap air tickets. I hope you like it, save money and have a good trip!

Be flexible on travel dates

Generally airlines operate on the law of supply and demand. When your flights are in high demand, the cost of airline tickets for those flights tends to increase (a lot!). This is the main reason why we notice so much price variance on flights with the same origin and destination. We know that it is not always possible, but if you have the luxury of being able to choose to travel in periods of lower demand, outside the high seasons, during the vacation period, you will certainly get very low prices on tickets.

Alright, so here’s our first smart tip: The ViajaNet website has a fantastic tool called When to Travel. Through this tool, you inform the cities of origin and destination and the period of your trip.

In our simulation, we selected that the flight will depart from São Paulo and the destination will be Miami. It was also informed that the trip will last for 8 days. Note that we do not inform the date we plan to travel.

By clicking on ‘Search’, a calendar will be displayed that will inform us which days are cheaper to travel:

Notice the price variation: From São Paulo to Miami, on the dates with the lowest demand, you can pay R$ 2,215.00 for an air ticket. In periods of greater demand, the value can reach up to R$ 14,831 😱, A lot of difference, isn’t it?

The days marked in orange are the days that the tool identified the lowest fares on flight tickets. So we conclude that if you can choose the date of your trip in the months of October or November, you will save a lot, not only on tickets, but also on accommodation expenses. 😉

Use and abuse of ‘Money Back’ (Cashback)
