Discover Maragogi – The brazilian Caribbean
Located in the coastal region of Alagoas, Maragogi is a small city but with a great and beautiful natural wealth.
Maragogi is famous for its natural pools, also known as galés, with transparent waters and colorful fish, 6 km from the coast, which can be accessed by speedboats or catamarans that leave from the central beach. The region has great hotels, and an almost cinematic setting, made up of beautiful white sand beaches with coconut trees.
The best time to enjoy the region is during periods of low tide, precisely when natural pools become more evident.
Close to the region there is the Sanctuary of the manatee and São Miguel do Milagres, a more reserved fishing village and ideal for those who want to get away from the large number of tourists. In addition, Maragogi is full of great restaurants and has a traditional recipe, the gummy cake, similar to sequilhos from the Northeast, which is worth trying.

It is possible to access the city through Recife or Maceió airport and it takes approximately 2 hours by car. From Maceió, the journey to the city can be made by the AL-105 and AL-101 roads. From Recife, the route can be taken on the PE-060, which has better conditions than the roads mentioned above. There are taxi services departing from both airports and also buses.
