Rio de Janeiro – The wonderful city!

Rio de Janeiro, also known worldwide as the Marvelous City, is one of the most internationally famous Brazilian destinations, attracting many foreigners with its beauty, beaches, culture, joy and Carnival.

One of the main attractions in Rio de Janeiro is to glimpse Christ the Redeemer, located at the top of Corcovado. The statue, image of Jesus Christ, began to receive visitors in 1931 and is on the list of World Heritage Sites. The attraction is visited by around 600,000 tourists a year.

In addition to being home to the largest carnival in the country, which in 2017 alone injected around R$3 billion into the local economy and attracted more than 1 million tourists from all over the world, Rio is home to lush landscapes recognized as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, being them the regions that are home to the Sugarloaf Mountain, the Botanical Garden, Corcovado Mountain, Tijuca Forest, the iconic Copacabana Beach, Aterro do Flamengo, and the entrance to Guanabara Bay.

Access to Rio de Janeiro is very easy, as Santos Dumont and Antônio Carlos Jobim airports receive planes from all over the country, with flights from around 30 cities, including São Paulo, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Cheerful and Savior. The one with the easiest access and close to the city center is Santos Dumont, which, in addition to being easy, has an exuberant view of Guanabara Bay.
